"The strength of the pack is the wolf, the strength of the wolf is the pack"
PX is a unique wolf roleplay game. All wolves are subject to chance encounters whether they be good or bad. The likes of the packs differ from one to the other.
General
- ALL WOLVES ARE SUBJECT TO DEATH BY CHANCE; staff do not purposely try to kill your characters it is all depending on the count of the dice. By joining PX you are agreeing to comply to chance death without any disagreement.
- Respect staff; staff work hard to keep this site going and in top shape so they should be respected.
- Respect members; I don't care if you hate one of their characters for whatever reason don't hate your fellow members because of it.
- If you will be gone for a week or more please post in the gone board. Posting in the gone board will keep you characters from being erased from their pack ranks.
- You are allowed up to 5 wolves at once and only if you can keep them active. Also I do not want to see someone make like three characters their first day. One character should occupy your muse for at least a week I mean come on.
- Posts must be at least 100words long. If you can't count then use Microsoft word or an online word count.
- Cursing is allowed IC and OOC but keep it to a minimum when OOC. Also do not cuss out other members or staff.
- Fighting with other members will be punished with a 2day ban on the first occurrence...I wouldn't try for a second occurance.
- Use proper grammar and spelling. If you have a few errors here and there its understandable but if your post is a whole mess of errors then we have a problem.
- No powerplaying/godmodding
- No wolves of an abnormal color
- Eye color is allowed to be any color of the rainbow
- Your wolves that you create will be placed in a pack by a staff member based on your wolf's physical appearance.
- images may not stretch the boards so signatures should be no more than 500x500
Packs
- There are four packs: North, East, South, and West.
- You wolf's physical appearance will enable or disable him for placement in a certain pack [for more information look into "Pack Standards"]
- If one pack has dramatically more members than the others then that pack may not be join-able until the other packs have more wolves or until the pack with the most wolves decreases in number.
- Pack territory cannot be challenged for by another pack
- All packs follow the same ranking system
- Wolves from another pack may enter enemy territory but don't expect a warm welcome.
- Males/females can rule a pack
Fighting
- Fights can be over just about anything: anger, females, males, pups, leadership...
- All serious fights must be reported so a staff member can judge them.
- You can fight anywhere as long as it is IC
- Regulations for the fight can be worked out between those who play the quarreling wolves. AKA; how many posts, word cap, what happens to the winner, what happens to the loser
- Posts will be judged as quality over quantity
Hierarchy
- All ranks are challenge-able at all times
- Loners and wolves from within the pack can challenge the Alpha
- Alpha; can be male/female, their mate is also an alpha. Alpha's lead the pack
- Beta; male/female, there can be a pair or mates. Betas are second in command, thus when the alpha is absent they control the pack
- Subordinate; normal pack members of either gender
- Omega; lowest ranking member, often teased or tormented
- whelps; also known as puppies, these are the wolves under a age of one year
Lone Wolves
- Lone wolves in real life are highly uncommon thus no one is allowed to create a lone wolf from scratch.
- when pack puppies reach the age of one they are allowed to either stay in or leave their pack. If they leave they become lone wolves until or if they find a new pack.
- creating a wolf that is one year does not give you the option to stay or go, only site born wolves are granted the choice.
- Omega wolves will often leave their pack after much harassment. In many cases they never find another pack. (alpha's choose who is omega so you cannot just decide your wolf is omega)
- A few random wolves might get the chance to either stay with their pack or become loners (all these will be selected by staff)
Hunting
- You don't have to roleplay your wolves eating all the time. The only time it is required is at the monthly hunt
- the monthly hunt must happen in the specified board in your packs sub board
- each pack member must participate once every three months. Failure to do so will have your wolf's rank lowered or even taken away. Cooperating may win you "prizes" for your actions.
- hunts will go like this:
ALPHA-___ Pack is going to hunt
STAFF-your hunting choices are;
1. a herd of elk
2. a flock of sheep guarded by a dog
ALPHA-___ Pack chooses option 1
STAFF-you may now advance to hunt IC- a staff member will decide if or if not the hunt is successful and if anything else happens because of your choice. Because staff chooses if the hunt is good or not pack members only need to post once to show them in action hunting (the kill will not be completed IC)
- Lone Wolves do not do a monthly hunt but if you wish to then feel free to request one.
Injury/Death by chance
- Say in the hunt your wolf had its ribs broken. Your wolf will live. Wolves are incredibly good healers.
- Chance might have it that the locals want a wolf to pay for the their lost livestock, in which case a random wolf will be chosen and alerted of this choosing. A dye will be rolled 6 times (plenty). If the overall total is less than 18 then the wolf dies. If the score is between 19-25 then the wolf is injured. If the total is over 25 then no harm befalls the wolf.
Breeding
- your wolf must be at least 3 years to breed
- wolf pairs that aren't Alpha must get permission from their pack leaders before they breed.
- loners can breed with anyone
- rape is allowed as long as the rapist is a loner
- all breedings must be notified so that staff can decide all the information of the litter
- No graphic breeding, come on its gross
- only rapes are required to roleplayed out
- chance might place tricks on a male and he may have to choose to breed with a dog or just walk away.
- breeding takes place in spring (it would be winter but whelps are allowed to be born right after the breeding)
Puppies
- a loner may choose to abandon her pups
- an alpha may kill any extra pups that he did not "okay" beforehand
- chance might have you come across dog pups or hybrid pups, in which case you choose to take them or leave them.
- extra puppies from litters can "die" or be put up for adoption so other members can tryout to play them.
- Hybrids and dogs in packs can only result from chance
- staff will choose all information in the litter (how many/genders/looks/health)
- while in reality wolves can have anywhere from 1-13 pups, here no more than 5per litter will be given in order to reduce the amount of spare puppies.
